GroupSolar is a not-for-profit group purchase initiative that will quickly bring down the cost of rooftop solar for participating Ontario homeowners.
Our expertise in the solar sector will help ensure the best deal for consumers not just on price, but on quality, customer service, and other considerations. We take much of the guess work and need for research out of the equation for busy homeowners interested in rooftop solar.
In addition to lowering costs, GroupSolar brings a number of other benefits to Ontario. Increasing the number of rooftop solar installations in the province will attract significant economic development to the province, while reducing our dependence on nuclear and natural gas-fired electricity. This will also help develop the province’s solar industry, improving economies of scale for all customers while creating jobs and opportunity.
GroupSolar is partnering on this initiative with Pivot Strategic Consulting Inc., which includes a team of experts with a proven track record of developing environmental solutions and working with governments on innovative environmental policies.

Pivot’s CEO Aaron Freeman has played a leading role in the environmental field for over 25 years. He has worked closely with governments, national and regional environmental organizations, and environmental businesses, often bringing these sectors together to forge durable solutions to environmental problems. Aaron is a recent recipient of Canada’s Clean50 Award, honouring his contribution to sustainable development and clean capitalism in Canada.
